Youth music project delivering learning and activities, based in Reddish, Stockport. StoMP Reddish StoMP Reddish primarily delivers learning and activities around a live band set-up, focussing on song arrangement and live performance. A comfortable, ground floor access venue, on site parking, close to public transport. Regular Contact / What's App After registering with us, we provide access to a parents / carers What's App group and contact telephone number, made available to ensure we have a way to communicate important messages, changes to programming etc.

We run regular, weekly youth music sessions in different locations, each with a music leader and volunteer, chosen for the job due to their engagement in music performance, education, youth and commuity work. and more ... There are of course many other instruments that young people may wish to learn to play, and with separate rehearsal spaces available, we can accomodate a wide range of music activities, choice of music and instrumentation. Initially available as 1-1 tuition, learners are encouraged at the earliest opportunity to learn alongside other young people, thereby giving and recieving encouragement from other learners and young musicians. Those beginning their music learning may feel more comfortable at our: Offerton Youth Music Group on Thursdays Confident young musicians may prefer to join our: Reddish StoMP live band sessions on Tuesdays We encourage - but do not require - young people to perform, in the first instance at our informal 'open evenings', and furthermore at any public events we are invited to perform at. We are a youth music project based in Stockport, delivering music learning and activities for young people age 11-18. Welcome Best described as a 'musical youth club' Stockport Music Project provides creative safe space learning opportunities and activities for all abilities, primarilly young people age 11-16. By arrangement, we are happy to extend the age range to age 18. We run two regular weekly sessions: Reddish StoMP group: Tuesdays Offerton beginners group: Thursdays Our music leaders and volunteers chosen for their committment to professional development, inclusion, youth and community work.
